Much Better Today

What a difference a day makes! I feel much more energized and dare I say motivated today. Generally I'm not much for motivation, but for now it's working. I had a great dinner with Mom last night (yummy salmon) and a nice talk. I also colored my very, very gray/white roots, so I feel like I look a bit younger which helps. Of course, I'm a dork, and there's still some dark dye stain on my forehead, but hopefully that will go away when I shower again. Tonight Mom, our friend Eva, and I are headed out to the local tribal casino to see B. B. King in concert for his 80th birthday tour. It's a small venue, seating about 2,000, and I'm so glad we got tickets. It's been a while since I've been to a concert, or much of anywhere really. It feels like the change up I was needing yesterday is here, and the stupid part is that I knew it was coming. We got the tickets for this show a couple of weeks ago, but that didn't stop my self-pity party yesterday.

Oh, and I gained 0.4 pounds this week at WW, and I'm cool with that. I ate bread last night, and my fingers are a little puffy, so I'm sure it's just a bit o' water retention. After finally breaking through my plateau last week and reaching the 60-pound mark, 0.4 is a blip.
