These are what I made yesterday. Ms. Thang is wearing them because they're just a little too tight for comfort across the heel for me, and her feet are a little smaller. I'll extend the strap on the next pair so they can be for me.
This is what I made on Sunday. Well, I knitted it on Sunday (and there's a little crochet on there as well), and then I did the felting yesterday. It's my first felted project. Finished size is 10 x 7 inches, so it's a smallish bag, but it will be great for carrying my Weight Watchers stuff in.
I've been spending a good amount of time on Ravelry lately, looking at all the lovely patterns and seeing what other people are doing, and I found the best group (for me). It's the Selfish Knitters! At this point in time, anything I knit is initially intended to be for me. Now, Ms. Thang does end up with stuff when it doesn't quite fit me, and from time to time, I'll make gifts for other people as the spirit moves me, but I'm not knitting for money and I'm no longer knitting on request. It just doesn't make me happy, and quite frankly if I want more money, I'll work harder at my day job, which pays me considerably more.
Oh, and if you were wondering about the sock I teased in an earlier post, I finished it, but the fucking thing does not fit over my heel, and the short-row heel turned out a little more open than I would have liked. (There is a picture of it in progress on my Ravelry page, if you're interested and belong to Ravelry.) That sock fits Ms. Thang, but dammit, my first big socks are going to be for me. I have enough yarn to make another pair, and that's what I'm going to do, practice my heel turning, practice binding off techniques, and then make myself some nice warm socks. In the meantime, I'm going to make some slippers for me, because I know I can do that.

Those look great! They reminded me of this CraftStylish article about how to make bottle cap buttons for knit slippers:
