Dude, I made socks!

So I finished the socks I was working on yesterday. Turned the heel on sock #2 and knit the cuff while watching Red Carpet arrivals for the SAG awards and I think that the Real World was on for a while there, too, but I wasn't really paying attention to that.

So they're socks. They're not perfect, but I like them. The pooling is different although it's the same pattern, same needles, even the same skein of yarn. I don't know how that happened. I messed up a bit on the measurements, and the foot of one is longer than the other, so it's baggy in the heel, and then the leg of one is noticeably shorter than the other. They're both too baggy around the ankle, too.

But, Dude, I made socks. An actual pair of socks that are on my feet right now. They're warm, they're soft, and they're pretty, even if they're not perfect.

And here they are.

See, pretty, aren't they?

They look great. Love the pattern. Wish I could knit like that. One of these days, I'll learn! :)

Beautiful socks! I remember you working on these a few weeks ago. Way to go, Connie!

Congrats! You're braver than me. Personally, I dig that they're different. It really makes them seem authentic instead of Walmart. Are you going to make more?
