So those of you (which was basically everyone except Dana) who liked the pink pooled
pinky toe won, and the heel has been made. I still haven't quite mastered the short-row heel, but it's getting better. I won't be using any of my fancy-pants very
spendy sock yarn until I have that mastered, but I'm getting there. And I love the way these socks are working up. They're warm, they're soft, and they're very pretty.
Yay me.
Here's a side view in which you can see how the heel broke up the spiral pattern. The socks are still
OTN (on the needles) so that's why you can see needles can cable in this picture. And if you're at all interested, I'm using size a 2 circular needle that's 47 inches long and the toe-up magic loop method.

Here's the top, pink side up as requested.

I'm not sure how long this is going to end up being. I might hit mid calf before I rib and bind off; it'll depend on my mood. I'll keep you posted.

Very cool! They're so pretty and now I want a pair like that. :) I love funky socks, I think I only own one black pair and one white pair.
I like it - cool colors and neat pattern.
