Thursday Kitteh Blog (05/14/2009)

Here I am, on time again, with this week's edition of kitteh blog. Today's picture shows my girls in a state that they spend a fair amount of time in . . . waiting for someone to come home. In this instance, I had walked next door to see how mom was doing (she had a touch of a stomach bug for a couple of days), and when I came back home, this is what I saw. The girls sit up in the window and basically watch the front porch until . . . they decide to move on.

If I'm not gone very long, like when I just run next door for a couple of minutes, they sit in the window pretty much the whole time I'm gone. When Amanda and I leave the house together, they're usually in the window when we pull out of the driveway but elsewhere when we get back, although occasionally Stash falls asleep in the window and she'll be there for hours.

Aren't they adorable?

And speaking of adorable, I just have to use more than one tag for this blog and show off the baby hat that I knitted last night while Lost was on (and a little bit after it was over). A friend of Tony's is having a baby girl soon, so this hat is for her. I remember when I was a kid that in the picture books, the faeries always wore hats that were made of flowers and the stalks stuck up from their heads; that's what this reminds me of, so it's the Lilac Faerie Baby Hat. This is actually the second one I made this week. I made a blue one on Monday for the baby boy that one of Amanda's coworkers is having soon, but she took that one in to work before I got a chance to take pictures.
