Thursday Knitting/Kitteh Blog (05/28/2009)

This week on the kitteh blog, I'm also showing off my current work in progress (WIP) along with my lovely girls.

This is the new sweater. The pattern is called Mr. Greenjeans (it's available for free at Knitty.com). It's knit all in one piece from the top down, so no sewing seams, which is nice. I started it on Tuesday, and it's moving along very quickly. For any knitters who are reading, I'm using Cascade 220 Heathers 100% wool (color: Lichen) and size 8 needles. There's a cable and rib detail at the bottom which will be worked on 7s. Yesterday this looked like a very strange circle, but I divided off the sleeves and started on the body this morning, and now I think it does look like a sweater, see?

And now for the kittehs, the real reason we're here. This is Meredith saying goodbye to Amanda before she left for work this morning. If you pick her up, she'll put a paw in your face as if to say, "you're beneath me." And then she head butts you and asks for more snuggles. Typical kitteh behavior.

And here's Stash checking out the knitting. She was licking the yarn cake shortly before this picture was taken, so there will definitely be kitteh DNA incorporated into the sweater.

Now I'm off to shower and work so that I may knit more and play with the kittehs more later.
