Turns out that it fit Amanda really pretty well. I moved the button a bit, and I'm still going to block it, mostly because it's wool and could use some softening up, but when that's done she'll take it to work as one of the things in her arsenal against the cold office air.
I was so disappointed that it didn't fit me that at first, I wasn't even going to blog about it being done, but since I blogged about the start and I did finish, I decided to suck it up and show it off a little bit.
I will make this pattern again for myself, but not switching to smaller needles, and I think that instead of a hip length sweater, I'd like it longer, so I'll add a good 4-5 inches to the stockinette portion before I do the rib/cable. That way it'll keep my lower back/top of my ass covered while I'm sitting and keep me warmer.

Would you mind my asking, what is your bust measurement and what size you decided to make? I hope that isn't too personal, but I've cast on for this sweater and want to make sure that I have made the right decision.
I cast on for the 40-inch size, which is pretty close to my bust measurement.
