Thursday Kitteh Blog (10/15/2009)

Here's Miss Stash (or as Amanda spells it, Stache) chilling out in my room while I work. A few minutes before this, she had been standing next to my chair yelling at me for no apparent reason. It was not time for treatses, and I had to inform her of that fact.

And Miss Meredith, who was definitely in Dr. Grey mode (i.e., slightly naughty) earlier this morning while I was doing my sit-ups for the 200 sit-ups challenge. About halfway through the second set, she decided that the only place in the world she wanted to be was on top of my left breast. We had words about that.

I did start the challenges today for 100 push-ups, 200 squats, and 200 sit-ups. I tested on Tuesday and did the first workout today. And I've been public about my aspiration to complete this challenge. I feel great mentally about taking on the challenge and how I did on today's workouts. Physically, as the day goes on, I feel the after effects of the exercise more and more. Because it's kind of chilly in the house, I'm afraid if I don't get up and move around more than I normally do, my legs will seize up and I'll be stuck in my chair and my children will laugh at me (it could happen). And right now I've noticed that I'm feeling the push-ups in my biceps. But it's all for a good cause (feeling like a rock star on BD #45 next month is a great cause), so I'm just trying to keep my muscles as warm and stretched out as I can while still sitting at my desk and typing for a living. It's a delicate balancing act.
P. S.: Interested in the 100 push-ups challenge? Go here: http://hundredpushups.com/ and check it out.

I am so sore, I haven't gotten to Day 2 yet. I'm trying to psyche myself up for it today. Good job, Connie!
