I've shared these pictures on Facebook already, so you may have seen them, but I wanted to introduce my blog readers to Ron Weasley. Mixes magical potions, and the color just lends itself to being a Weasley, no? It could have been Ginny or Mrs., but I love Ron, so there you go. (This is a KitchenAid 5-quart Artisan stand mixer; color Persimmon.) I've wanted one of these bad boys for a really long time, and eventually I just ordered it. After spending close to a week trying to pick a color. In the end, Amanda basically decided on that, and I think she did an excellent job.
And this, well, I called this delicious for dinner last night. It's my first loaf of bread from the book Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day
I used the master recipe for my first time out, but I'm already planning on playing with the other recipes in the book and other shapes, like pita and pizza and maybe even English muffins. Those look intriguing to me. Fresh baked bread for someone (like me) who's essentially lazy and busy and really does not want to futz around with baking bread. I really love that this recipe has no added sugar and no fat. There are 4 ingredients, unbleached flour, yeast, water, and kosher salt. Maybe five minutes to mix the dough (Ron helped with that), no kneading, no proofing of yeast, and it'll keep in the fridge for a couple of weeks. I highly recommend.
Elsewhere, I'm working, trying to read, doing some knitting, taking long ass-kicking walks on Sunday mornings with Shnoodle, the usual. I'll also be going back to bingo tomorrow night at Pints and Quarts on the west side; that was super fun. Maybe I'll even win something this time. Or maybe I'll just have some laughs and a beer (or 2).

It looks wonderful! Yummy yummy! I'll give it a try as I love my sourdough starter and Amish bread starter. Bread is our downfall!
I'm glad you're enjoying your new baby. I wanted one for years and finally got one for Christmas a year ago. He usually buys me jewelry, but for that year, a kitchen appliance was a-ok with me!
It's beautiful, and of course I love the name. (I would get sleazy for Weasley, after all.)
The bread looks delicious and love your mixer as red is my favorite color.
