It's been a long, stressful day, so my apologies that this is late and kind of short.
First up, we have the non-sweater project. This is the Skew sock as it moves along the foot. The longer side is the side that will go on the inside part of my foot; hopefully the striping pattern is clear on this picture, they're diagonal. It's been a fun kit, but I only worked on this last Sunday while the sweater was drying after being wet blocked.
And here is the current state of the sweater. You can see that the needle is still in the neck ribbing. I'm at the buttonhole row, and I haven't decided yet if I'm going to put on the 2 buttons that the pattern calls for or just one larger one. The buttonhole instructions on the actually pattern are (again, this is just my opinion) really strangely written, and so if I want to make the adjustment, it's going to take some mental math on my part.
The goal for next week is to have the sweater done, see if I can reblock to make the arms fit better (they're too tight, and I made the arms in the largest size on the pattern), and maybe get to the heel on the sock. This is my short weekend, though, so I'm not sure if I'll get both done or just the sweater.
All for now.
