Friday Knitting Blog (04/29/2011)

I most assuredly did not forget to blog today; it just took me a while to get here. This morning, I was finishing up the right front of the sweater while I watched highlights from the royal wedding. I'm a girl, shut up. I didn't stay up late or get up early to watch, and by the time I rolled out of bed, it was over, but highlights go on forever. It was lovely. And then I worked, ate dinner, went into town, played with my Kindle for a while (gotta check the special offer free downloads and see what's out there), and now I'm here.

Here's where I am with Hey, Teach! (My Ravelry project name for this is Hey, Transcriptionist! I gotta got with what I know, but Yo, Bitch! didn't have the same ring) . I was hoping to get into the back a bit this week, but I've been busy with work, and actually reading some books (several this week), so kind of a balancing act. Either way, I found/made some time in the last couple of days and got the right front done. I think the 2 sides match up nicely.

Without flash.

With flash. The actual color is difficult to photograph well, especially inside at night, but the true color is somewhere between these 2 pictures.

So for next week, the goal is to reach the armhole shaping on the back. I feel like that's do-able.

All for now.
