Friday Knitting Blog (05/06/2011)

It's a progress picture free knitting knitting blog this week; I've been a little sidelined the last couple of days with some wrist and shoulder pain and have been taking it a little easy. I started the back of the sweater, but right now, it doesn't look like much of anything. Just sort of a long rectangle of stockinette with 4 rows of ribbing on the long side that's not on the needle. In good news, the worst of the pain has passed, and I'm feeling a lot better. I'll be knitting at my normal pace soon.

I'm starting to contemplate my next project, or rather the project after the next one, since I already know what's next. It'll be a Baby Surprise Jacket for a baby boy who's expected to arrive toward the end of the summer. I'm looking forward to that; I really enjoyed making this one last year.

The new one is going to be in this yarn, and I think it's going to be fabulous.

I can hardly wait to get to it; but first I need to finish what I'm working on now. For me, project monogamy leads to increased productivity.

I have project(s) monogamy. LOL. I've learned that having 2 or 3 projects that I'm dedicated to helps get them done.

Right now the "big" project is my Little Mermaid shawl, my "interesting but knit-in-publicable" project is a Shaelyn shawl, and I don't really have a "mindless, knit a few rows every couple of weeks or so" project, since I finished my mom's cowl.

Glad your pain is going away - that's scary for a transcriptionist. Can't wait to see Enzo's sweater!
