And here we are again on Friday, and this is what's on the needles today.
I know! How cute is this? It's a tiny hat to go with the tiny sweater that I finished a couple of days ago. The knitting on the sweater had actually been done, but it took me a few days to get around to seaming. Now I'm knitting the hat, and if there's enough yarn left over, then I'll see about putting a collar on the sweater.
Pattern specs for this. It's the Swirl Hat from Sheepy Time Knits (free pattern at the bottom of this page). It calls for fingering weight (AKA sock AKA 4-ply) yarn and a US size 3 (3.25 mm) needle and comes in sizes from preemie to adult. Pretty damn fabulous, and it works super well with self-striping yarn. This is Felici from KnitPicks in the Caprica colorway. Very nice yarn, reasonably priced, and machine washable.
The current goals are to finish the hat, see about the collar, give the sweater and the hat a bath, and put buttons on the sweater. Oh and start some socks.
All for now.

Ooooh, that's gorgeous!
I love it with that yarn - it looks kind of like entrelac!
