Since last week's entry, here, I have purchased the material to make handles/straps for the Everlasting Bagstopper (it's 1-1/2 yards of belting material).

Done the knitting on a second bag (this is leftover CottonEase from my Hey,Transcriptionist! sweater). And purchased handle/strap material for this bag (1-1/2 yards of grosgrain ribbon with a giraffe print). Plus I remembered to get some fray-stop so that they stay neat once sewn in.
I have not, however, sewn the straps/handles in place. That's part of this week's goal, get the sewing done so the bags are useful at Sock Summit. The other part is to cast on another pair of socks and see how much progress I can make. I'm not working next week (yay for vacation time), but I do have other things besides knitting to do, so we'll see how that goes.
In the meantime, stay well hydrated and use sunscreen. And in my head, I'm thinking of Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own signing baseballs with, "Avoid the clap, Jimmy Dugan." Either way, it's good advice.
