So I went to WW yesterday and lost another 2 pounds! Yay me! Down now a grand total of 22.4. That 25-pound magnet is in my sights. Maybe it's because I know that next week will be my last week with this group, but the praying woman was not quite so annoying yesterday. However, I was upset that after 14 weeks of going and never missing a meeting and wearing a name tag every single stinking time, the leader called me Catherine yesterday. When I was leading WW meetings lo these many years ago (1993 and 1994), if you were in my meeting for 3 weeks running, I knew your name. And I don't care if she's not "good with names." That's fine for a few weeks, but after 3 months, I expect more, better, something like that. After next week, I'll find a new meeting anyway (she says stomping her foot, sticking out her lower lip in a pout, and leaving in a huff).
On to better things.
Family dinner last night was wonderful. I made my famous chicken enchilada casserole which everyone seemed to love. And then there was the exercise demonstrations where the big strong men, D and T, benched pressed the girls, R, L, and little T. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately D's girlfriend (and R and L's mom), K, called this morning to tell me that D and R are sick as hell with digestive unpleasantness. L had a small stomachache this morning, but is otherwise OK, and K's sister, M, who was with us had a stomachache last night, but is OK today. I feel fine, mom feels fine, and as far as I know A and T are OK. I swear I didn't poison anyone.
And the big news of the day is that A had a letter to the editor published in the local newspaper about how people should not watch reality TV shows. It was an assignment for one of her English classes this trimester, which she completed and submitted for publication. I noticed it while I was reading the paper this morning just before they left for school. I cut the section out of the paper for her to take in to show her teacher. We were all very excited.
One nice thing about me today: I didn't poison anyone. Really I didn't.
