TTBM (Things That Bug Me) and TTPM (Things That Please Me) Friday

Well, it's another Friday, the sun is shining, and somewhere birds are singing. So it's time for this week's lists.

TTBM
1. Gas prices (duh). I think those bug everyone right now, but $4.33 a gallon (a very common price near where I live)? That's just mind boggling.
2. Whiny damn babies. And I don't mean infants or toddlers; I mean those adults who aren't happy unless they're bitching about how miserable they are. Get some therapy already! Or smoke a damn joint and calm down.
3. The sudden slowdown on the progress of my house being built. We've had a couple of delays with power getting hooked up and the like.
4. The fact that I have absolutely no idea when my actual move date is.

TTPM
1. Katy Perry's song, I Kissed a Girl. Excellent beat, awesome voice, quasi-naughty subject matter. What more could I want? It's pretty much perfect.
2. I got on the library list early enough that I got Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich the week it came out. I read it last night, and loved it. Damn funny, and since I'm a fan of Morelli, it was generally pleasing to me.
3. Today's weather. Although I'm not always quite sure if I should worship the ball of fire in the sky or hide from it; right now, it's lovely outside. The mountain will probably be out today, and I don't think I'll ever live here long enough to take that for granted.
4. The name change has been completed most places that I need to change it at. There are still a couple of store cards (like grocery store discount cards), but I'm hitting those as I shop.
5. My plans for decorating and organizing the new house. I have big plans for one closet in particular (and it's not even the walk-in closet in my bedroom).

This is what the mountain (Mount Rainier) looks like when its out. I live southwest of it, and to me, when I travel further north, it doesn't look right. From down here, we can see the scoop at the top; you don't see that face from further north. This is downtown Olympia and the mountain taken in August 2005; when I see the mountain today, it will be snowier, but otherwise it's just like the picture.

I hear ya on the gas prices, Connie!

NJ has the lowest gas prices in our region, but it's still too high for my liking. I was HAPPY to fill up today at $3.89 (lowest around) and it cost me $48 to fill my Saturn.

Take care!!! :)
