Quirks

My friend and coworker, Maria, over at http://shallowthoughtsfromiowa.blogspot.com/ (she's fab, check her out) posted this yesterday, and I'm intrigued enough to play along. Name your quirks on your blog.

1. I hate to have anything around my wrists. I don't wear a watch and almost never wear bracelets for that reason. I do wear the watch for my heart rate monitor while I'm working out, but it comes off as soon as possible. I don't even really like shirts with long sleeves, and I'll push the sleeves up to just below my elbow.

2. Laundry must be removed from the dryer and folded as soon as humanly possible after the dryer has finished the cycle. It almost causes me physical pain when I know that clothes are sitting in there . . . wrinkling.

3. I'm an infomercial junkie. I like to watch them, and I like to order stuff from them.

4. When I start reading books by an author, if I like the first one I read, I always want to go out and purchase the entire back list. An expensive quirk.

5. Even though I have purchased approximately 9 pairs of eyeglasses this year (my prescription is for +1.50 in both eyes and I need only for reading, so OTC readers work well for me), I only actually wear 2 pairs with any regularity.

6. Although mostly I like talking to people on the phone, I hate making calls because I'm always afraid I'm interrupting the person that I'm calling, especially my friends on the East Coast; the time difference is a killer sometimes.

I have other quirks, plenty of them, but after due consideration, I think that most of those belong on my "other" blog; you know, the one you have to wade through the adult content screen to get to. Not that those quirks are all sexual in nature, but some are, and they're definitely more intimate, for lack of a better term.
