Here's the toy tent I picked up for the girls a few weeks ago. They seem to enjoy it in there. I call it Kitteh Kamping. You can barely see it in this picture, but part of the reason I think they like is is the red ribbon that hangs down from the ceiling on the inside. It has many holes in it from kitteh teeth and claws.
And finally, it's Meredith, having one of her diva moments. This was taken yesterday and I included it for some sense of scale. She planted herself on my brand new Knit Picks blocking boards which are 12 inches square. She's not neatly in one block (because that would make my life easier) but you can kind of get an idea of size here. And her level of pissed-offedness, because, hoo boy, was she mad at me right then.
Today I gave the girls a treat. I had purchased them a couple of catnip-filled mice on Saturday, but they hadn't had them available for a couple of days. I decided to see how they'd do if they had constant access to them, so I gave them back this morning. After a couple of crazy-filled hours of them being in "Thundercats are Go" mode, they settled down, found patches of sunshine, and fell asleep hard. I'm going to leave the mice available to them and see how they do.
And on a final note, I've abandoned the idea of toilet training for the girls. They're devious, and my gut tells me that if they start using the toilet, then they'll be flushing the toilet, leading to bad things happening in my septic system and in my water bill. Best to leave that alone, I think.
