Guess what I'm wearing?
Yep, new socks! Finished last night, and I learned from the last pair of socks to wait until I had natural daylight to take pictures. The yarn photographs much better that way.
I just love these, partly because, well look at them, they're awesome, but also because I love the heel. It's possibly the coolest thing ever. The fit of a traditional heel flap/gusset construction in a toe-up pattern without the look of a traditional heel flap. I know lots of people prefer them, but I really don't like the slipped stitch, eye of Partridge (I always want to ask Keith or Danny?), or other stitch patterns on the heels of socks. It's an aesthetic thing for me; I don't care for the look, and since I don't wear things I don't like the look of, (form and function need to work together) I've been looking for the right heel. And I definitely found it.
