These are the socks. Picture taken on my deck this morning, and the early morning sun might have washed out the colors just a bit, but you can still see the awesome striping and and lack of pooling.
My only complaint about these socks is that they're just a tiny bit tight across the toes for me, because I made the foot a little too short, so I think that Amanda's going to end up with these in her wardrobe. But that's good. She appreciates the stuff I knit, and she wears the first pair of socks pretty regularly, which tells me that she'll probably get good use out of these, too.
My next project, which is not yet on the needles, as I finished Kitchener stitching the toe and weaving in ends of the second sock in this pair around 10:30 last night (while watching Castle), will not be socks. It will be one of Cat Bordhi's moebius scarves. They've been intriguing me, and the books that explain the technique are from the library and have already been renewed once. So it's time to give that technique a try. Besides which, I think the next socks are going to be on double-pointed needles, and I need to wait for the package with those in it arrives from Knitpicks.

I always love the colours in the socks you knit. They're so pretty. =)
And I have no idea what a moebius scarf is, but I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of it...
