Pair 2 of 6 now complete

Finished just this morning, pair #2 of the 6 pairs I promised myself I'd knit before buying any more sock yarn. Note that that's sock yarn; I can buy other yarn for other projects if I like before finishing this mission, but no more sock yarn.

Anyway, these are the socks. Really basic, just straight stockinette. Since it's a busy yarn, I let it do all the work, although I did dork out enough to try to start the socks at the same point in the yarn stripe repeat so that they'd match. They're not 100% matchy-matchy, but pretty damn close.

Again, the Fleegle heel, which I still love, especially with self-striping/self-patterning yarn like this; the stripes got thinner, but the pattern wasn't all broken up in the heel, and I really do like that a lot.

Now 4 more pairs to go. I've tried a couple of times now to knit 2 socks at the same time on magic loop, including this pair, but it's really fussy and feels like it's a lot slower, so I quit. For now, I'm going to stick with one sock at a time, but I do want to try to make one pair the "conventional" way, which is from the cuff down instead of from the toe up, and I think my my next pair may be where that happens.

They look great, and you know I LOVE the fact that you started the yarn pattern in the same spot. I can see what you mean about the Fleegle heel and the stripes - beautiful!
