Finished this last night and immediately cast on for sock #8. Since today's my day off, once I'm back from running errands in town, I'll make some headway on that one. Last night I got about 3/4 of the way done with the ribbed cuff, but then it was judgment time on The Next Iron Chef, and I put it away so I could watch that. I know a lot of people knit while they watch TV, but I have a hard time sometimes paying attention to both, so I have to put down the knitting to catch the good bits.
Used to be Sweet Nothings, but evolution happens. It's now a knitting blog.

Sock #7 makes its debut.
Here it is, sock #7 of 12 in a yarn that is so bright, I refer to it as carnival yarn.
For the knitting lingo: The pattern is Monkey (found for free in Knitty Winter 2006) by Cookie A. The yarn is a lovely German yarn, Zwerger Garn Opal Neon. When the Germans say Neon, they are Not. Kidding. Around. Knitted on Harmony Wood double-pointed needles, size 1-1/2 (2.5 mm) from KnitPicks. The only pattern modification I made was to shorten the leg from 6 pattern repeats to 3, because I like shorter socks. Otherwise, this is knitted as written.

It's so pretty! I am very jealous of your speed...
Knit me a full body suit and send it over, it's pretty cold here in LA!
And yes, the experiment is going very well. =D Already one month in! Only two months left. Boo.
