As the girls have gotten older (they're just over 2 now; they were babies when we moved into the house 2 years ago), we've noticed that, like most sisters, they don't spend quite as much time being cute together as they used to. They still fight and groom each other, but it's rare for them to just sit or sleep all cuddled up like they used to when they were babies.
However, in the past couple of days, they've hit a cycle of loving each other again, to wit:
And if you look closely, you can see that although the paper feed on the printer mostly separates them, for a little while, their fur was touching.
After that, they noticed me noticing their cuddliness and newfound closeness and promptly retreated to neutral corners to play.

My cats do this too - I'll catch Maggie grooming Pickle or Pickle rubbing his face on Maggie's, and then they'll both look at me and go their separate ways.
