Sorry I missed last week. No excuses really; I was just busy and kind of spaced.
Here's the exciting stuff. Meredith and 'Stache check out what's happening on the deck.
It's a visitor from 2 doors down (the other side of mom's house). He's an outdoor cat. His people call him Zanzibar, but we (Amanda and I) think that's a dumb name for a cat. Because Freddie Mercury (possibly the best front man of all time) was born in Zanzibar, we call him Freddie.
But what's this? An interloper in the yard
Indeed, a foreign cat. And, although the coloring is similar, this is not mom's cat, Tabby; she's much fluffier (in the sense of having longer hair; I'm not calling her fat).
Freddie, feeling that since he's got free roam of the deck, he's the man of the yard, goes to investigate.
Oddly enough, after this point, nothing else happened. No fights, no sweet kitteh love. They looked at each other for a bit and then both ran off in opposite directions.
And that was the sum total of excitement here. There's been knitting recently, too, but a lot of it has not worked out the way I wanted it to, so I went back to a plain vanilla sock (the pattern, not the yarn), and I'm feeling better about things.
