The Honeybee Cardigan grows. Since the last time I blogged, I have completed 10 more of the Honeybee and Column lace pattern repeats. That's 60 rows or approximately 17640 stitches.
It's a lot of work, but I'm finding it totally worthwhile. It's so pretty.
By the way, the designer, who goes by the nom de knit of cosmicpluto (@cosmicpluto on Twitter), has some other really lovely patterns. Cosmic Pluto Knits is her site; it's worth a look.
I haven't restarted the sock and I haven't really knit on anything else. since last Friday. I just have no urge to work on any other projects because this one has totally captured my attention and interest, and summer is still here. Most of the time it's just too hot to be fussing with wool.
By the way, the yarn is (obviously) gorgeous, but it's also dyed with all-natural dyes. It's from Sincere Sheep, and this is the Treble base. It's not on the site right now, but everything I saw in her booth at Sock Summit was just lovely. My only caveat is that I do have to wash my hands every few rows and the swatch bled a little bit when I got it wet. Since it's after Labor Day, it's not like I'd be wearing white pants to knit it, so I'm not worried about my clothes, but if you're more of a fashion rebel, you might want to be careful.
Goal for the coming week, get to the underarm and maybe start a sleeve. We'll see how that goes. The Western Washington Fair (AKA The Puyallup) opens today, and I feel like my weekend (Sunday/Monday) plans are going to involve a scone at some point. (Fair attendees know exactly what I'm talking about).
