The Honeybee is a little longer than it was last week. Really it is.
See, I had to join the second skein of yarn, but only after winding it (twice, once off the swift and then again to make sure it's not wound too tightly) and petting it both in the skein and in the cake form (this picture is a cake) for a while before I started knitting again.
I'm working on pattern repeat #16 right now, and it's looking to me like 19 or 20 might be the magic number to get the body length to where I want it. I'm not going to take the tape measure to it again until I have at least 18 repeats completed (at least that's what I'm telling myself now.)
So last week's goals are again this week's goals, finish the body to the point of the underarm and get some sleeve action going. It's a very busy time at work now, and I'm taking advantage of the opportunity to make some extra OT pay, so the knitting is paying the price a bit. I am making progress, though, and that's what counts.

I have a Hornshaw Swift that a friend of mine gave me for my birthday last year. I. Love. It. There is ZERO drag on the yarn, and I never have to rewind because of tension on the yarn, like I did when I had my umbrella swift. The Hornshaw is pricey, but so beautiful and SOOOO worth it!
