Friday Knitting Blog (10/14/2011)

For the Kitteh lovers, we have a guest today. A couple of days ago, 'Stache decided that the best way to help me work was to block my view of the monitor. I took a couple of pictures and then moved her. Then I corrected all the typos I made when I couldn't see the characters as they first appeared on the screen. It was not pretty.

This on the other hand, is pretty. It's the Honeybee with a few more rows done. At this point, I'm close to being finished with the underarm/lower sleeve shaping and will move on to the neck/shoulder. Soon I'm going to have to procure buttons. I'm thinking small, black, and not quite plain but not so busy as to distract from the sweater. Thoughts from the crowd?

There is another project on the needles, but since it's a gift, I'm only showing the needles right now. They're one of my ChiaoGoo circulars (there's a magic loop project on the cable), and if you look closely at the needle on the top you can see that the size of the needle is inscribed (I think with a laser) onto the shaft. There are no words to tell you how much I love that feature.

This project is TV knitting and coming along fast. I started on Tuesday evening and am at the halfway point of the 1 object (OK it's a sock, and I'm ready to turn the heel; she asked for socks, but I don't want her to see them yet).

I feel I'm still on track to finish the sweater by the end of the month and at least the first sock of this set if not the pair. After that, who knows?
