I made good progress on the sweater this week. Here are a couple of pictures for your entertainment pleasure. As you can see, the sleeves are done and have been attached to the body of the sweater, and now we're working our way up. The overall goal at this point is to finish by the end of the month.
The first picture is, obviously, indoors on my dining room table.
And then we went out to the deck. I need to take the leaf blower to the pine needles.
The actual yarn color is, I think, not as dark as in the top picture but the bottom picture looks a little washed out, so it's darker than that one.
Mom's birthday was last weekend, but that was a between payday weekend for me; therefore, this Monday, I'm going to take her out to lunch and yarn shopping for her birthday (and maybe get some stuff for me, too). We're going to Little Knits in Seattle. I haven't been there before, and I'm looking forward to a new place. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
