Friday Knitting Blog (05/18/2012)

Today got away from me a bit, so I'm late to get here and don't have much to say. I have started the second of my Hermione's Everyday Socks, and it's coming along, but the gauntlet has been thrown, and I'm starting a KnitALong (KAL) with the lovely Shnoodle, so I'm going to start that as soon as I walk out of this room. Or more accurately, I'm going to go wind the yarn. I'm going to use this yarn.

And the pattern that I'm making is called Lingerie from Knitty.com. I got the yarn at Sock Summit, and it's been paired with pattern just about since I got it. It's been at the top of my Ravelry queue (kind of like a TBK ~ to be knit) for months. Now it's time to start.

I'll keep you posted on the progress. Hopefully it will end up looking like this. Full disclosure, This is the pattern picture from Knitty.com. It's absolutely not mine, and if you want to see the pattern, you should hit the underlined link in the previous paragraph. It's totally free.

Oh, and the IK totally turned up. About 3 hours after I had bought a replacement copy. Fortunately, I can return the extra one. Can't even blame the cats; it had fallen under my bed, and today was the first time I'd pulled it out from the wall in a few days to make it tightly. The IK was just sitting on the floor waiting for me.
