At one point in my day yesterday, I wandered out into the kitchen area thinking that I might want to forage for food. It turns out I wasn't really hungry, so I turned and started to head back to my work space, but something was not quite right. Out of the corner of my eye, I could tell that something was slightly off-balance in the living room.
That turned out to be Meredith doing her balancing act on the rocking chair. Shortly before this picture was taken, I took the liberty of slightly adjusting the placement of the chair to ensure that, in case of extreme kitteh exuberance (which happens from time to time), if the chair were to fall down, it wouldn't hit anything else. That's why the chair is essentially a wooden island in the middle of the living room; I don't want it to hit the TV, the DVD/CD shelf, or go through a window if it takes a tumble (which it has at least once).
And you will note that the sun was shining yesterday, which is lovely for early March in Western Washington.
