Here we are on a lovely (OK it's foggy and wet) Friday. I've been sick most of the week, so I'm not going to write much, but I do have pictures.
This is the gift that I was hinting at last week. I know that it looked yellow then, but nope, the color is white. It's a headband/neckwarmer which is why I put it on the glass head 2 ways. It's been received now by its new owner, and I hope she enjoys wearing it as much as I did knitting it.
To warm the ears.
To guard the neck against a chill.
Project Notes
Pattern: Easy Neckwarmer Headband This is a free pattern, but the store that put it out is going out of business; I don't know how long it will be available at this site.

Yarn: Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller Washable Ewe (superwash wool) in Cottontail (Ravelry link)
Needle: US 8, 5.0 mm.
And my other finished object for the week. I did all the knitting for this on Super Bowl Sunday but just finished up the blocking and weaving in ends last night. The spiral takes a while to dry from wet blocking, or this would have been done sooner. There are 2 pictures because this hat can be worn with the spiral on either side, a feature which I love. Again, this is a gift. It hasn't been received yet, but I'll get that part done soon.
Narrow brim in front, spiral over right ear.
Wider brim in front, spiral over left ear.
I honestly can't decide which way I prefer this hat.
Project Notes
Pattern: Escargot by Veronica Parsons. Free pattern published in Knitty Winter 2011 bis.
Yarn: Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller Washable Ewe (again) in Cottontail and Zinnia
Needle US 7, 4.5 mm.

So there you have it, 2 projects that can both be worn in 2 different ways. I do love multitaskers.
