I did get some knitting accomplished this week. Not a whole lot, but I had a webinar on Wednesday and I managed to get the leg of my current sock in progress down to the point where I'm ready to put the heel in. Since it's my preference to knit a heel in one sitting rather than be interrupted, I've put the project in its bag for a couple of day until I know I'll have time to do it when I know I won't be disturbed (at least not physically; some would have you believe that I'm pretty disturbed generally). Normally, I'd have that time on Sunday, but this weekend, Sunday is for sewing.
The lovely Lindsay, AKA Shnoodle, and I are going to sew needle rolls to contain our growing collections of knitting needles. From my former quilting days, I have fabric. I also have leftover fabric from my garment sewing days, but that's actually in bigger pieces and might still become clothes. What you see below is a grouping of half-yard cuts (which I thought were fat quarters until I unfolded them) which I purchased from Keepsake Quilts about a million years ago (most definitely sometime in the late 1990s at least; I remember these predating my divorce which was in September 1998). They're meant to work together, and I still like the colors, so I'll pick from these to work with.
Hopefully then, for next week, there will be finished socks, a finished needle roll, and some more sock yarn mitered squares.
Hopefully.
Hopefully.
