So, I don't have a lot to say this week. The sock languishes in its project bag waiting for me to feel the urge to knit the last half of the second foot. It's not looking good for tonight. There's no picture because I literally haven't touched it since last week. It's one of those weird things: I'm just not that excited about how the yarn looks knit up, and the weather's getting warmer. Those 2 factors have conspired to bring progress to a halt. It's only temporary, though.
Although I haven't been knitting on the sock (or on the blankie, shhh), I have been knitting. However, it's a gift and I can't show it off yet. When I can, I will. The gift knitting has enabled me to use my new HiyaHiya interchangeables in a project, and, to nobody's surprise, I love them. They are smooth, they are pointy, they have flexible cables, and the swivel join means that I can do magic loop on a 24-inch circular (measured tip to tip) without fighting with the project. Granted the tube I'm knitting is pretty tiny, but still, successful ML on a 24-inch needle is really fucking cool.
Maybe I'll have something to actually show off next week.
P.S. I don't know how I forgot about this. I went to a new to me Yarn Shop This week,
Allyn Knit Shop and Spinning Supply and got this lovely yarn that you see below. It's a brick and mortar store only, but if you're in this part of the world, it's so worth stopping by. I was beyond thrilled to see a yarn store that actually had colorful yarn and not the occasional skein of red or pink surrounded by mounds of neutrals.
Not that I hate neutral colors; they just don't excite me much.
